Female Fighters Camp - Summer 2018
JUDO/BJJ, Gi and No Gi
It’s back! It’s been a while but this year the ‘Female Fighters’ camp is back at The Dojo, Kendal. The best chance for ladies to train with other like-minded ladies and learn from some of the best female grapplers around. Here you can either register your interest, or book online now.
Great learning, tough training and fun times PLUS Special Price on custom gis and rash guards courtesy of
This camp went down a storm when we first ran it in 2014 and this years’ will be even better - Judo and BJJ technical and sparring sessions; fun (?) conditioning activities (log carrying anyone?); educational workshops; and all mixed with a decent dose of social activities. Take part in as little or as much as you want. Each class will cater to all levels with basics highlighted for beginners and progressions for more advanced. There are just a couple of age-related restrictions * (see below).
The Dojo in Kendal is a permanent training venue for Kendal Judo Club and boasts the actual mats used at the 2012 Olympic Games. Over the years the venue has hosted the GB Olympic team, the Oceania Olympic team, the England Commonwealth team and the first UK Female Fighters Camp! Accommodation on site is available - just the basic porta -cabin style, but what else do you need!? The town centre is a 10 min walk away and there is ample parking on site. There is plenty of alternative accommodation nearby and the town itself is very picturesque, sitting just on the edge of the Lake District.

Meet the organiser:
Sophie Cox - a seasoned athlete, Judo 5th Dan and BJJ purple belt.
She has been coaching for a number of years and can dish out plenty of advice, including how to win at giant Jenga.
She loves a bit of girl power (but not in a cheesy way) and has worked hard to establish her credibility in a mostly male dominated environment as an athlete and a coach. Started judo at 6 and BJJ a in 2013……
